The Montreal Canadiens are poised to make a significant push for pending UFA Patrick Kane when the clock strikes 12 pm on Monday.

According to insider Frank Seravalli, the Montreal Canadiens will aggressively pursue Patrick Kane tomorrow if he does not re-sign with the Detroit Red Wings.

If Patrick Kane hits the free agent market (which he is expected to), sources say the Montreal Canadiens are preparing a pitch for him. (to sign him)

Jeff Gorton has expressed the Canadiens' desire to compete for the playoffs next season, and acquiring Patrick Kane would certainly bolster their prospects. Kane, the first overall pick in 2007, registered an impressive 47 points in 50 games with the Detroit Red Wings during the 2023-2024 season.
