The Montreal Canadiens have completely turned their season around in the past month, winning seven out of their last 10 games, against teams such as the Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Vegas Golden Knights, and the Colorado Avalanche.
Many players are standing up and it seems like Martin St. Louis' coaching is finally bringing the results fans in Montreal have been waiting for since reaching the Stanley Cup Finals in 2021.
Canadiens' general manager Kent Hughes will have some tough decisions to take ahead of the trade deadline.
As we saw in the past, he likes to make impactful trades. In recent years, his trade record has been impressive: he added many first-round draft picks, talented young players like Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook, Patrik Laine, and reliable defenseman Alex Carrier.
All these additions are proving to be very great moves, and it appears that he could do more in the coming months leading to March 7th's trade deadline.

Many players could end up being traded in Montreal: Joel Armia, Christian Dvorak, David Savard, Jake Evans, and Mike Matheson.
All of these players have been useful in Montreal this season, and fans are surely hoping that some of them will remain with the team, especially Jake Evans, Mike Matheson or David Savard.
It'll be interesting to see what will happen in Montreal, both on and off the ice.
