After Completing Another Trade with the Colorado Avalanche, Barry Trotz Is Poised for Bigger Moves

The Nashville Predators' general manager Barry Trotz is poised to make bigger moves after completing another trade with the Colorado Avalanche.
On Saturday morning, the Nashville Predators and the Colorado Avalanche agreed on the terms of a trade involving two goaltenders.
It's no secret that the Avalanche was looking for a new goaltender on the market, and it finally happened.
The Preds sent Scott Wedgewood to the Avs in return for a 2025 sixth-round draft pick and Justus Annunen:
This is a great move from Trotz, who sent a 32-year-old goalie for a 24-year-old with a lot of potential and a draft pick.
Even if both Annunen and Wedgewood have been offering underwhelming performances this season so far, a new start with a new team could help them bounce back and build momentum.
But this move is quite small for a team like the Predators. Considering their struggles on the ice, management appears poised to make significant changes to the team's roster soon.
The GM made it clear that he wants to get things done, according to Elliotte Friedman:
"I don't think this is a question of how much longer Barry Trotz can afford to stand pat," Friedman said. "I think he has made it very clear that he's trying to get things done."

Nashville will be back in action tonight against the Minnesota Wild and Kirill Kaprizov. It'll be a tough challenge for the Preds, as Kaprizov stands at the NHL's 2nd rank in points, tied with Nathan MacKinnon and Jack Eichel, with 36. He will surely look to score at least one, to tie Martin Necas at the first rank.
It would be surprising to see Annunen getting the start tonight, but an official confirmation from the Predators is expected at some point later today.
