As of right now, J.T. Miller remains out of the Vancouver Canucks lineup, and now it has been revealed that one Eastern Conference contender has inquired about him.
With the NHL season getting into full swing, trade speculation has begun heating up in a significant way, especially with some teams struggling and some teams performing way differently to their expectations.
It's unclear at this point how those talks are progressing, but GM Chris Drury has made it clear he's not afraid to shake things up, and now, according to a report, they've been aggressive in attempting to bring back a former star.

According to several sources, the Rangers have reached out to the Vancouver Canucks about the possibility of acquiring forward J.T. Miller, who began his career with the team as a first-round pick back in 2011.
Currently, Miller is on personal leave from the Canucks, giving likely little possibility as to the thought of a trade for the veteran forward given his current, personal circumstances.
During his time in New York, Miller played in 341 games, posting 72 goals and 172 points in that time, but since coming to Vancouver, he's truly exploded into a top tier NHL player, putting up 149 goals and 418 points in 381 games played.
However, one thing that has become clear in his time with the Canucks is how much Miller loves the city of Vancouver and the team, as he has endeared himself to fans and the organization since arriving in 2019.
Ultimately, a trade at this point isn't realistic unless Miller shockingly asks for one, and if he is made available, expect more than just New York to be interested in him.
