Yesterday in Edmonton, air traffic control attempted to prevent the Florida Panthers from landing after their flight was delayed by a severe storm.

The Panthers were scheduled to depart Florida at 1 pm, but a rainstorm forced them to delay their flight, resulting in a departure around 4:30 pm:

The Florida Panthers arrived in Edmonton despite Canadian air traffic control's humorous efforts following significant flight delays

On their way to Edmonton, Canadian air traffic controllers joked with the Panthers' pilots, suggesting they wouldn't be able to land in Edmonton.
Watch their amusing conversation in the video below:
«NEW: Florida Panthers pilots were jokingly told by a Canadian air traffic controller to run low on fuel so the team wouldn't be able to land in Edmonton.
Pilots from other flights joined in on the conversation.»

The Florida Panthers' next flight could be their best yet if they secure the Stanley Cup

With the next two games of the series in Edmonton and the Panthers just two wins away from the Stanley Cup, their next flight could be a celebratory one.
However, defeating the Oilers in front of their fans for two consecutive games will be challenging. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, who have only combined for one assist in two games, will be determined to make a significant impact.
Additionally, the Oilers have had the last two days to rest at home, while the Panthers faced a tough journey from Florida, which could affect their performance.
Nevertheless, the Panthers have shown they have what it takes to achieve their goal and return home with the Cup.
If the Panthers win tonight, they could secure the championship by Saturday.
