Leon Draisaitl is preparing for a significant payday with his upcoming contract, and he's already making substantial moves with his money.

Draisaitl recently took to Instagram to announce his new role as a co-owner of a soccer team in Germany's newly established Icon League.

Launched by German streamer Elias Nerlich and recently retired German soccer star Toni Kroos, the Icon League features teams led by 14 «Teamheads,» a roster of former soccer players and prominent German figures. While Draisaitl's financial involvement in the league remains unclear, his new role as co-owner signifies his growing passion for sports beyond hockey.
«The Indoor-Soccer-League called Icon-League was founded by Elias Nerlich (EliasN97) one of the biggest, if not THE biggest content creator in Germany and Toni Kroos, one of the greatest german soccer players of all time. There are 14 Teams represented by their Teamheads. Those are Soccerplayer, former Soccerplayer, Rapper, Content-creator and other celebrities known in germany. Most known might be David Alaba, Franck Ribery and Luciano. The League will start on September, 1st in the LanXess Arena, the home of the Cologne Sharks. Every team has 13 games and will collect 3 points per win. The Finals will be in the brand-new SAP Garden in Munich. The games will be Live-streamed on Twitch. Most likely at 7 or 8pm CET.
