A well-known Canadian hockey broadcaster, frustrated with the diving in soccer, has criticized one of Team Argentina's players.

Gord Miller, a prominent figure in hockey broadcasting, has had enough of the diving and injury faking in soccer. Miller claims that Argentinian midfielder Rodrigo de Paul put on a theatrical performance during the Copa America semifinal match against Canada.

Throughout major soccer tournaments, we've witnessed a significant amount of diving and theatrics during games. Despite this, little has been done to curb such behavior, leading to more players and teams engaging in these tactics in hopes of getting an opposing player penalized.
Soccer fans and Gord Miller alike have reached their limit, flooding social media with their dissatisfaction over the on-field theatrics. Here's a fan's suggestion for how FIFA can deal with these situations:
FIFA should really implement what MLS has done when a player is "injured". If they remain on the ground for more than 15 seconds they have to exit the field following treatment and stay off for a minimum of 2 minutes until the next stoppage in play. It's made a noticeable difference in MLS matches.

Miller hopes his voice will serve as a catalyst for FIFA to take action and find ways to ban this type of behavior. However, it will likely take more than just Miller's voice to address this long-standing issue, which is unlikely to cease immediately.
