Kirby Dach, a forward for the Montreal Canadiens, announced on Monday that he is fully recovered from his right knee abrasion last fall and is ready to play again this season.

«I felt like I was ready to play games at the end of last year,» added Dach, whose second season with the Canadiens ended after just two games.
However, the Montreal Canadiens forward appears to have hurt himself during a scrimmage at the Brossard, Quebec, training camp today.
In the first intra-squad game of training camp, Kirby Dach took a stick straight to the face, giving everyone a scare. Aware of the increased risk of head injuries in sports, coaches and fans held their breath when they saw him fall to the ice. The possibility of a concussion hung over the situation for a few moments, making it somewhat tense.
Thankfully, preliminary reports seem to show that he's unharmed and doesn't appear to have suffered any serious injuries. Naturally, we'll keep a careful eye on things and notify you if anything changes.
The Montreal Canadiens signed Dach from the Blackhawks during the 2022 draft, sending the 13th overall pick and a third-round selection back.
Kirby Dach scored 38 points in 58 games for the Canadiens last year despite missing a significant amount of time due to injury, displaying at least some of the elite skill that made him a first-round selection.
It is anticipated that he will make a significant impact for the Habs this season as he regains full health and builds on some encouraging momentum.
