Brenden Dillon, a pivotal figure on the Winnipeg Jets' defensive line over the past three seasons, appears to be parting ways with the team.

While circumstances could shift before the onset of free agency on July 1st, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman recently indicated that Dillon is poised to enter the open market.
"I just heard he's going to free agency. There were some conversations between him and the Jets, and you never rule anything out, but I don't think there's gonna be any re-signing with Winnipeg before the window opens. So, I expect Dillon to hit the market."
Friedman say he's hearing Brenden Dillon will make it to free agency. He doesn't expect him to re-sign with the #NHLJets before the window opens. Also says it will be a good market for D as far as $$$ go. Some will hit big.
It seems logical for Dillon to explore free agency, particularly with the NHL's salary cap rising this season and the heightened demand for defensemen across the league.
Just circling back on Brenden Dillon and his status ahead of July 1.

I'm told pending UFA held conversations with the #NHLJets recently, so the door isn't closed, but that he's expecting to go to the market and see what's out there.

"Can always circle back."
This bodes well for Dillon, who showcased enhanced offensive abilities this season, tallying a career-best 8 goals and contributing 12 assists, totaling 20 points. Renowned for his robust style of play and commitment to protecting his teammates, Dillon's grit is expected to draw interest from multiple teams, particularly following the achievements of physically dominant teams like the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning in recent Stanley Cup playoffs.
