Vegas Golden Knights officially sign Tanner Pearson to PTO
The Vegas Golden Knights have announced a new addition to their roster. As of August 20, 2024, forward Tanner Pearson has been signed to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).
The 32-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the Golden Knights, having played parts of 11 NHL seasons with several teams.
Pearson, originally from Kitchener, Ontario, has amassed 644 NHL games over his career, featuring for the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, and Montreal Canadiens.

Last season, he played 54 games with the Canadiens, recording 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists). His standout season came during the shortened 2019-20 campaign with the Canucks, where he notched a career-high 45 points (21 goals, 24 assists).

Pearson began his NHL journey with the Kings, where he accumulated 144 points (69 goals, 75 assists) across 325 games over six seasons. His contributions were particularly notable during the Kings' 2014 Stanley Cup run, where he earned 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists) in 24 postseason games.
The Kings drafted Pearson in the first round (30th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, marking the start of his professional career.
