Vegas Golden Knights announce opening night roster against the Avalanche

Today, October 9, Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon revealed the team's starting lineup for the 2024-25 NHL regular season.

The Golden Knights take on the Colorado Avalanche at home on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena.
The Golden Knights will open the season at home for the sixth time in eight seasons with this matchup. Opening Knight presented by Naqvi Injury Law pregame events get underway on Toshiba Plaza at 3:30 p.m. PT. You can find more information about the fan experience ahead of Wednesday's game here.
The Gold Carpet will come to an end, and then T-Mobile Arena doors will open. As fans enter, they will be given their collectible Mark Stone pins. Those without Opening Knight tickets can watch the game on the Allegiant Stage screen while they remain on Toshiba Plaza.

Golden Knights Roster


In 2023-24, the Golden Knights had a 2-1-0 record against the Colorado Avalanche. Mark Stone scored four points (2G, 2A) to lead the team in a 7-0 victory at T-Mobile Arena on November 4. In the victory, Jack Eichel and William Karlsson each scored two goals. At Ball Arena on January 10, the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Golden Knights 3-0. On April 14, in their season-ending game, the Golden Knights overcame a 3-0 deficit in the third period to win 4-3 at T-Mobile Arena behind an overtime goal by Tomas Hertl.

Vegas's record in home openers is 6-1-0. In 2023-24, the Golden Knights finished with a 45-29-8 record and 98 points. Vegas was defeated in seven games by the Dallas Stars in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after finishing fourth in the Pacific Division.
Captain Mark Stone claims that the Golden Knights want to improve upon their preseason errors and enter the regular season with their bodies in top shape.
