The Knight Monsters, based in Stateline, Nevada, were formally named last November following approval of their expansion franchise in July 2023. Under the terms of this affiliation, the Golden Knights and their AHL affiliate in Henderson will have the opportunity to transfer players to and from Tahoe, ensuring seamless development pathways for emerging talent.
«Two critical goals in our organization are to develop strong hockey players and grow the game of hockey in Nevada,» said McCrimmon. «Our new partnership with Tahoe ensures that our prospects will progress in a first-class environment, and our Hockey Operations personnel will work with a great business staff to bring an exciting product to a new fanbase. We are very pleased to welcome the Knight Monsters here to Nevada.»
Leading the charge as the inaugural head coach of the Knight Monsters is Alex Loh, whose recent stint as interim head coach with the Savannah Ghost Pirates underscores his coaching prowess. During his tenure in Savannah last season, Loh steered the Ghost Pirates to a commendable 16-12-3 record after assuming the helm mid-season. Prior to his time in Savannah, the 39-year-old helmed the Adirondack Thunder for three successful seasons from 2019 to 2022.
