3 Vegas Golden Knights players officially set to hit the open market
Recently there has been speculation connecting Anthony Mantha with Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
Anthony Mantha, standing at 6-foot-5" and weighing 240 pounds showcased his skills by scoring 44 points, including 23 goals throughout this season with both the Washington Capitals and the Vegas Golden Knights.
Although he was traded during the trade deadline for draft picks in the 2nd and 4th rounds, it appears that he will not be making a return to Nevada.
According to David Pagnotta's report, Anthony Mantha is set to become a free agent on July 1st.
This development was shared by TFP journalist.
«Here's what we know so far: forwards Michael Amadio, William Carrier, and Anthony Mantha will not be returning to Las Vegas. All three are aware and plan to test the free agent market on July 1st.
Defenseman Alec Martinez no longer seems to have a place on the blue line; he will turn 37 at the end of July, and it is said that he is evaluating his options.» - David Pagnotta It's intriguing! Would you consider it a worthwhile risk for the Montreal Canadiens to potentially sign Anthony Mantha for around $3.9 million, per year over a span of 3 or 4 seasons?
At 29 years old, he consistently scored 72, 60 and 50 points, per season in the past. During his time with the Detroit Red Wings (averaging 51 points per 82 games in the 2023-2024 season).
