The Vancouver Canucks have been off to another good start again in 2024/25, and with the team looking at a potential Stanley Cup run, they're eyeing a huge addition.

Despite posting a positive record early in the 2024/25 season, the Vancouver Canucks haven't looked as dominant as they did a year ago, and it has their fans and their front office clearly worried.
While getting the likes of Thatcher Demko, J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser back to 100% will help this team, they're clearly looking to shake things up with a trade, with reports already surfacing that teams have contacted them about Miller.
It's unclear if these two reports are linked, but a report has now emerged that the team have been inquiring about Rangers star Chris Kreider, who has been made available by a team looking to shake things up.
The report from The Mug reveals that the Canucks have inquired, but at this point in time, it appears that they may be one of the team's on his no-trade list, making a trade fairly hard at this point.
However, that was the same issue that they faced with Jacob Trouba, but with the threat of waivers, the team encouraged him to waive that for a trade to the Anaheim Ducks.
In 22 games played this season, Kreider has 10 goals and 11 points, showing that he still has the ability to put the puck in the net, and with Miller already in Vancouver, he'd be the perfect gritty forward to round out the team's top-six.
The belief of many in New York however is that the report was just one to get Kreider going again, and if he gets back to playing well with the familiar Rangers core, don't expect too much to come of these reports, as he clearly wants to remain in New York.
