Patrik Allvin confirms Nikita Zadorov's departure from the Canucks

After the Canucks traded Ilya Mikheyev and his significant cap hit, Patrik Allvin began allocating funds by re-signing Dakota Joshua, Teddy Blueger, and Tyler Myers.

The long-awaited update on Nikita Zadorov's future has finally arrived. Patrik Allvin confirmed during a media appearance at the NHL draft that the defenseman has opted to pursue opportunities elsewhere and will enter the free agency market on Monday, July 1st.

There was considerable confidence in Patrik Allvin's ability to secure the deal, especially since Zadorov expressed his fondness for Vancouver. However, it seems the two sides couldn't find common ground on the terms.

Big Z, acquired during the season, swiftly became a beloved figure among fans. His stellar playoff performance exceeded expectations, but now the Canucks are parting ways due to his increased contract demands.
