We regret to inform you of the untimely death of former Vancouver Canucks forward Moe Lemay, who was only 62 years old.

Lemay was a former professional ice hockey player from Canada who participated in 317 National Hockey League games.
He was a member of the Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks. He played 317 NHL regular season games during his tenure. The majority of which were with the Vancouver Canucks from 1981 to 1987.
Maurice «Moe»Lemay's passing- he was acquired for depth in 1988 and was a solid role player in Boston's run to the Stanley Cup final, ending the long playoff drought vs the Canadiens along the way. RIP Moe- gone too soon at age 62.

Following a rocky career with the American Hockey League and the NHL, he made the decision to play professionally abroad. After relocating to Europe in 1989, he played in Germany's second-tier league, the 2nd Bundesliga, for a number of years before retiring in 2000.
Notably, Lemay was able to lift the Stanley Cup and win the ultimate prize during the 1986-87 season while playing for the Edmonton Oilers.
Lemay was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was a member of a South Ottawa minor ice hockey team that participated in the 1975 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament. He was drafter 105th overall in 1981 by the Vancouver Canucks.
We offer the Lemay family our deepest sympathies and prayers during this trying time. Rest in peace, Moe.
