An analytics firm has forecasted contract extensions for Brock Boeser and three other Canucks players nearing the end of their current deals.

The Vancouver Canucks have completed most of their offseason tasks, incurring significant expenses, particularly with Filip Hronek and Jake DeBrusk. While the team is now focused on enjoying their summer before returning to Vancouver for training camp, it's never too early to consider the free agents the Canucks will have in 2025.
An analytics company, AFP Analytics, has released its projections for contract extensions across the National Hockey League, including four members of the Vancouver Canucks: Brock Boeser, Pius Suter, Nils Hoglander, and Noah Juulsen.
According to AFP Analytics, Brock Boeser is expected to secure a seven-year contract worth $8.62 million per season. Boeser is coming off the best season of his NHL career, scoring 40 goals in 81 games and finishing with 73 points. During the Stanley Cup Playoffs, he notched a hat trick against the Nashville Predators and scored seven goals in total through 12 games before being sidelined due to a blood clotting issue.
"Notable #Canucks extension projections for @AFPAnalytics:

Boeser: 7x$8.62
Höglander: 2x$2.52
Suter: 4x$3.29
Juulsen: 2x$1.06

Which one of these would you feel comfortable with the Canucks signing?"
Pius Suter delivered a solid performance for Vancouver during the 2023-24 season, playing a depth role and accumulating 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) in 67 games. According to AFP Analytics, the 28-year-old could receive a four-year contract with a cap hit of $3.29 million. While he played well in his role, the term and amount may be more than the Canucks are willing to commit, but this will depend on his performance this coming season.
Similar to Brock Boeser, 23-year-old Nils Hoglander had his best NHL season in 2023-24. In 80 regular season games, he scored 36 points (24 goals, 12 assists), but struggled in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, contributing only two points in 12 games. According to AFP Analytics, the Canucks could secure a bargain with Hoglander, who is projected to get a two-year deal with a cap hit of $2.52 million.
Lastly, Noah Juulsen, a former first-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens, completed his first full season in the NHL after spending previous years moving between the AHL and the main roster. He provided Rick Tocchet with a reliable depth option on the third line, playing 12 to 15 minutes a night. With the recent additions of Derek Forbort and Vincent Desharnais, it will be interesting to see how Juulsen fits into the Canucks' plans this season. AFP Analytics suggests that Juulsen could earn a two-year contract with a cap hit of $1.06 million.
Among these four players, who do you believe should be the Canucks' top priority to sign? Share your opinion in the poll below!
