A reporter urged the Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving to trade the young forward Nick Robertson as soon as possible.
Even though he signed a one-year, $875,000 contract just before the start of the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp, Nick Robertson's future in Toronto remains uncertain.
Following impressive performances during the preseason, the 23-year-old forward has been struggling to keep the same rhythm, tallying only two points in 20 games.

At this point, it seems evident that Robertson won't be a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs for his whole career.
Sportsnet analysts Justin Bourne, Sam McKee, and Nick Kypreos discussed why a trade involving Robertson must be done soon.
With all the injuries in the Leafs lineup, a young and promising player such as Robertson should get better opportunities.
Instead of keeping him in the bottom six, trading him for a pick would be the simple solution, and the Robertson issue could finally be over in Toronto.
"This itself is the reason to trade Robertson. It's like you had the whole team hurt up front and still couldn't use him in an offensive spot."
"If you can't put (Nick Robertson) in the top six when you're missing six players, then just trade him for a third and be done with it."
At this point, with only two goals this season, teams won't want to risk paying a hefty price for Robertson. He had a lot of time to show his skills but hasn't been able to rise to the occasion and perform.
There are no doubts that Robertson could benefit from a fresh start, and the Leafs could benefit from an extra contract spot and more cap space.
Stay tuned for further updates regarding Robertson's future with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
