After being involved in the injury to Canadiens star Patrik Laine, forward Cédric Paré of the Toronto Maple Leafs has now displayed a lack of class in a post-game interview.

The second preseason game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens was much more physical than the first. Patrik Laine was badly hurt when forward Cedric Pare collided with him at the knee. It should come as no surprise that Canadiens supporters expressed their disapproval of the play on social media.
Arber Xhekaj, a physical defenseman, quickly took revenge on Pare later in the game, chasing the 25-year-old center in the middle of the rink in a move that could potentially result in a suspension.
The worst part of the evening, though, occurred after the game when Pare was questioned about the collision with Laine in an interview and laughed, displaying no remorse at all.
One of the first people to break the news to a larger audience was Priyanta Emrith, the Canadiens' media personality:
Cédric Paré claims that his intention was not to injure Patrik Laine, and he hopes Laine is doing well.

With the regular season opener between these two teams taking place in Montreal, it's safe to say there will be a lot of emotion in that one. Pare attempted to clear the air during the interview, saying that it was an accident and that he hopes Laine is okay because the injury looked quite serious. However, his body language said quite the opposite. Pare won't play in that game because it is highly unlikely that he will ever play in an NHL game with the Maple Leafs, but the Canadiens may be motivated for some more revenge after this game.
Patrik Laine's condition is currently unknown, but considering his significance to Montreal's future prospects, we hope he can quickly heal and return to the ice for the Canadiens.
