The Pittsburgh Penguins announced that they had to cancel their preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday due to the team having travel issues.
The team announced on X that they unfortunately needed to cancel the Penguins preseason game vs. the Detroit Red Wings due to travel issues that were out of their control.
It seems to be there were issues with the plane which prevented the Penguins from getting to Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. While it's good to know that this issue wasn't caused by the devastating Hurricane Helene currently battering the southern United States, it's still a rough situation for both fans and players.
Detroit is 2-0-0 thus far in the preseason meanwhile the Penguins are still searching for their first win sitting at 0-2-0, and they will need to wait a little longer before they get the chance.
