Due to violent accusations made by his ex-girlfriend, Gabriel Gagne, a former prospect for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators, may now face jail time.

Gabriel Gagne, a former hockey prospect who was invited to prospect camps by the Ottawa Senators and the Toronto Maple Leafs, is facing shocking accusations from a former girlfriend.
Gagne is on trial for several serious charges, such as making death threats, assault, assault with a deadly weapon, and hiring a hitman to kill his ex-girlfriend. These are all accusations made by his ex-partner.
According to testimony from Gabriel Gagne's ex-girlfriend, he had a history of controlling behavior and aggressive patterns, with multiple instances where his actions went well beyond what was socially acceptable. Under oath, she discloses that Gagne's abusive behavior became more severe over time, to the point where she frequently felt concerned for her safety.
In addition to the current accusations, Gabriel Gagne has a long history of prior accusations made against him. He was given a six-month prison sentence in 2023 for harassing an additional ex-partner. He served three months of that sentence after entering a guilty plea to luring a minor under the age of sixteen in 2024. Because of these prior incidents, he has spent a total of nine months behind bars.
As the trial continues, it is currently impossible to predict how the charges will be resolved. If Gabriel Gagne is found guilty on every count of these horrible crimes, he could spend a significant amount of time behind bars. Given the seriousness of the charges and his prior transgressions, a harsh punishment is probably in store for him.
