After showcasing his skills at the Maple Leafs' development camp, he is likely to begin his professional career in the ECHL while aiming for a future in the NHL.
Glad Ryan McCleary is getting an AHL deal with Toronto. Good frame at 6-foot-3, right-shot D-man, and impressed Leafs staff at development camp.

Expect him to play notable minutes with ECHL Cincinnati
Now 20 years old, McCleary is poised to pursue a professional hockey career, with hopes of eventually making his NHL debut.
