Bylsma was announced as the head coach of the Kraken today and expressed his interest in bringing along Campbell from her current role as an assistant coach with the Firebirds to Seattle.
Campbell was seen on the bench during one of Kraken's preseason games in October, alongside Kori Cheverie, who previously worked with the Pittsburgh Penguins, making them both pioneers as women working behind an NHL bench.
Presently both Campbell and Bylsma are involved with coaching duties for the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the AHL, as they gear up for their game in the Western Conference Finals, against the Milwaukee Admirals scheduled for Wednesday.
Could Campbell be the person to land a full time job as a assistant coach, in the NHL making history in the sport?
