With the Maple Leafs looking to make a splash on the trade market by possibly sending away one of the members or the Core Four (possibly Mitch Marner), many rumours and scenarios have been shared on social media. A lot of them include the Pittsburgh Penguins, as the former Leafs' general manager, Kyle Dubas, works there now.
Marner and Dubas have a great relationship, which could entice the player to accept waiving his no-movement clause to join the Pens.
According to a new rumour, the Penguins could send a package deal to the Maple Leafs in order to land him.
Here's the proposal:
While Jarry struggled this season and wouldn't necessarily be better than Ilya Samsonov, giving him a new start with another team could be the key to bringing back on the top of his art.
Pettersson and Poulin are two promising players. While we're far from the top defenseman that Treliving is looking for, Pettersson does bring a lot to a blue line, and Poulin has a lot of potential for a bottom-six asset.
If you were Brad Treliving, would you accept this trade proposal for Mitch Marner?
