Reports indicate the Toronto Maple Leafs are eyeing St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko to bolster their blue line this off-season.

GM Brad Treliving is focused on shedding forward salaries and opening up entry-level spots to strengthen the team's offensive core, aiming to rebuild and fortify the defensive lineup.
Rumblings seem to support that the Leafs are willing to use multiple ELC and league minimum deals to fill out their forward group so they can finally fix the defensive issues.

At least one conversation has happened with an Atlantic rival about Calle Jarnkrok.
As a result, St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko has emerged as an ideal match for GM Brad Treliving and his team.

The #LeafsForever are linked to #stlblues 6'6" defenseman Colton Parayko by David Pagnotta. Parayko led the NHL in blocked shots last year with 218 and averaged a career-high 23:51 TOI. He will be making $6.5m per year till he is 36.
Acquiring the defenseman won't come cheap, and GM Brad Treliving will need to free up salary cap space to accommodate a contract like Parayko's.
