The Pittsburgh Penguins have bolstered their roster by acquiring forward Cody Glass, a 2025 third-round draft pick, and a 2026 sixth-round draft pick from the Nashville Predators.
In exchange, the Penguins sent forward Jordan Frasca to Nashville. The trade was confirmed today by President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kyle Dubas.
Cody Glass, 25, is signed through the 2024-25 season, carrying an Average Annual Value of $2,500,000. The forward has had a diverse NHL career, playing across five seasons with both the Vegas Golden Knights and the Nashville Predators. Drafted sixth overall by Vegas in 2017, Glass has accumulated 71 points (29 goals, 42 assists) in 187 NHL games. His standout year was the 2022-23 season, where he notched 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists) in 72 games.
Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 205 pounds, Glass has also spent significant time in the American Hockey League (AHL). Over four seasons, he played for the Chicago Wolves, Henderson Silver Knights, and Milwaukee Admirals, earning 79 points (22 goals, 57 assists) in 88 AHL games.
In addition to his NHL and AHL experience, Glass has represented Canada on the international stage. He won a gold medal at the 2023 World Championship and competed in the 2019 World Junior Championship.
This acquisition brings valuable depth to the Penguins' forward lineup, enhancing their roster as they look ahead to the upcoming season.
