The Pittsburgh Penguins drafted Moose Jaw Warriors forward Brayden Yager 14th overall in 2023 and since being drafted he has blossomed winning a major award for his play last year.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are currently in a transition period and have a prospect pool that they are building. The crown jewel of their prospects is Brayden Yager who was their highest pick in recent memory.
It was announced today that Yager won the CHL'S Sportsman Player of the Year Award for his gentlemanly play.
Brayden Yager (PIT) has won the CHL'S Sportsman Player of the Year Award.

Previous winners include Sam Reinhart, Samuel Girard and Jeff Carter.
After registering a career-high 95 points and only 20 penalty minutes in 57 regular season games, Brayden Yager is the CHL Sportsman of the Year!

Yager scored 35 goals and 95 points in only 57 games and was a point-per-game player when representing Team Canada at the World Junior Championship.
He is expected to compete for a roster spot next year with the Penguins and should be one of their most exciting prospects for a few years to come.
