After losing in the second round to the Edmonton Oilers. The Vancouver Canucks' Elias Pettersson attributed his performance struggles to a knee injury, which reportedly didn't sit well with the Canucks management.

The 2024 playoffs turned out to be a bad period for Elias Pettersson. Despite facing challenges in the second half of the season, he couldn't make an impact for the Vancouver Canucks during the playoffs managing only six points in 13 games.
Pettersson disclosed during his exit interview that his struggles were partly due to a knee injury that hindered him in the playoffs.
Elias Pettersson's knee injury helps explain his struggles in the second half of the season and playoffs.

Frank Seravalli shared some insights recently, into how the Canucks management reacted to Petterssons attribution of his performance issues to his injury.
Seravalli on Canucks:

I think they were, jaws on the ground, floored to hear Pettersson try to blame part of his issues and play in the 2nd half of the season on the knee.

Hopefully there will be amends between the Canucks and Pettersson before the 2024-25 season kicks off, since he is anticipated to be one of their star players going forward.
