Two Pittsburgh Penguins prospects are making waves at Team Canada's summer showcase camp.

Brayden Yager, a first-round pick from 2023, showcased his skills in last year's tournament, contributing five points despite Team Canada's early quarterfinal exit. This year, Yager's presence highlights the Penguins' deepening prospect pool.
Tanner Howe, selected in the second round (46th overall), joins Yager among 24 forwards vying for spots in the 2025 World Junior Championships in Ottawa.

Penguins' Tanner Howe Gains Recognition, Invited Team Canada Camp
At 18 years old, Howe was selected 46th overall by the Penguins in the 2024 NHL Draft just last month. He spent the previous season serving as captain for the Regina Pats in the Western Hockey League, where he led the team in games played (68), goals (28), assists (49), and points (77).
Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 183 pounds, the forward has played parts of the last four seasons with Regina, amassing impressive stats of 92 goals, 141 assists, and 233 points in 207 career WHL games. Additionally, he contributed four points (2 goals, 2 assists) in seven playoff appearances.
Hailing from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Howe has twice represented Team Canada at the World Under-18 Championship, winning a bronze medal in 2023.
The Penguins' prospects will undergo rigorous evaluation from July 28 to August 3, aiming to secure pivotal roles in Canada's bid for international hockey glory. As anticipation builds, Pittsburgh fans eagerly await the outcomes that could shape the team's future competitiveness on the global stage.
