The Pens captain and one of the NHL's classiest players showed why when a fan who was mistreated by security at the Little Caesars Arena got what he was hoping for.

Fans travel many miles to see their favorite teams and players, whether they are playing on home ice, or away. In the case of one fan, he most likely traveled to the Penguins versus Red Wings games in the hopes that Crosby saw the Rimouski Oceanic jersey he had from Sid's time in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League from 2003 to 2005.
Unfortunately for that fan, security saw it as well as he waived it over the tunnel the players were exiting. The guard threw the jersey back into the crowd. When Crosby caught wind of this action, he got Penguins security involved to not only find the fan but to give him a great experience by signing the jersey.

It ended up being a great night for both the fan and Crosby, who's Penguins won in Detroit 6-3 after a disappointing loss at home against the Rangers. Although Crosby was visible upset in the Penguins play and maybe took the loss and his behavior too far, the captain always makes sure that he treats the fans right.
Crosby looked good and gelled with new linemate for this season Anthony Beauvillier to get his first points of the season with a couple of assists in the game. Hopefully this tread continues.
As for the fan, he has an experience with one of the elite players in the game that he will never forget. Crosby continues to go out of his way to do what is right for the fans. And I am sure it was a cool jersey for his to see again after all these years and sign for someone who owns it.
The Penguins will look to continue to build on this win with a game tomorrow against the Toronto Maple Leafs, set for a 7pm faceoff.
