A report from the Hockey News states the Tampa Bay Lightning have a keen interest in acquiring a veteran member of the Pittsburgh Penguins in a trade

It's a take of two teams heading in entirely different directions at the moment who may be able to help each other out. A report from the Hockey News states the Tampa Bay Lightning have their sites set on a trade target from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Lightning are off to a decent start so far in 2024-25, and will likely be buyers at the trade deadline as they have been for the past several seasons. As such, adding a close to 500 game NHL veteran would be a huge plus.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have been linked to a couple of rumours lately, including a potential trade between GM Kyle Dubas and Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving, , as well as a potential deal involving defenseman Kris Letang, although Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman says there are several obstacles in the way. The Hockey News believes any willingness to trade forward Noel Acciari will get keen interest from the Tampa Bay Lightning.
"The Penguins have already begun selling, as they traded Lars Eller to the Washington Capitals earlier this week. Because of this, more of their players are expected to be available, and Acciari is among the most notable ones creating some chatter.

Acciari, 32, would be a solid addition to the Lightning's bottom six. He could fit in nicely as their fourth-line center but could also play at right wing because of his versatility. In addition, he would be a clear choice for their penalty kill because of his solid defensive play."

Noel Acciari's postseason experience--he's played a total of 65 NHL playoff games over the years with a few different teams--is also a huge bonus for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The move makes a lot of sense for the Tampa Bay Lightning as they try once again for a deep playoff run. For the Pittsburgh Penguins, the main goal would be future assets such as trade picks or prospects. That said, if Noel Acciari is being shopped, the Lightning are bound to have plenty of competition for his services, which is a huge benefit for Kyle Dubas.
