Jaromir Jagr hired by the Pittsburgh Penguins in a front-office role
The Pittsburgh Penguins and President Kyle Dubas have hired former captain Jaromir Jagr and he will have a remote role while he still plays for Kladno, the team he owns.
Jaromir Jagr is reportedly about to take on a role with the Pittsburgh Penguins in their front office that will allow him to stay home in Czechia with his team HC Kladno.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are reportedly working on hiring legendary winger Jaromr Jágr to their front office, shares Rob Rossi of The Athletic in an interview with Penguins' President of Business Operations, Kevin Acklin.
Acklin shared that the team is ready to enter a «new chapter» after Jágr's retirement ceremony in February. The team has been working on recruiting Jágr ever since, recently making an extra push while visiting Prague for the World Championship.
The Czech legend once captained the Penguins and is one of the few players to have played with both Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby. While he still is playing, he may come back to North America after he retires from hockey in his 50s.
More details to come.
