Martin St. Louis was also very emotional and sad when talking about superstar Patrik Laine in his press conference earlier today.
A serious injury sustained by Patrik Laine
Again, this is hardly a shock of the century, but it is true that Patrik Laine has sustained a serious injury, and unfortunately for Laine and the Montreal Canadiens, it is unlikely that he will return to action anytime soon.
The Finnish forward showed up for practice in Brossard this morning, he was walking on crutches and it looked like his knee was in terrible shape.

The Montreal Canadiens made a formal announcement regarding his injury, the Tuesday after (which also happened on a Saturday). We anticipate receiving a definitive response either tomorrow or later today, but it's encouraging that everyone is proceeding cautiously with this case.
