Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis gets super emotional talking about Patrik Laine
Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis speaks about Patrik Laine's serious injury in his latest press conference.
In a press conference just moments ago, the Montreal Canadiens coach made the following statement:
Martin St-Louis spoke about a resilient group that will once again be tested by a significant injury to a key player. Some will get tryouts before the season starts on October 9th.
- Anthony Marcotte
Martin St. Louis was also very emotional and sad when talking about superstar Patrik Laine in his press conference earlier today.
A serious injury sustained by Patrik Laine
Again, this is hardly a shock of the century, but it is true that Patrik Laine has sustained a serious injury, and unfortunately for Laine and the Montreal Canadiens, it is unlikely that he will return to action anytime soon.
The Finnish forward showed up for practice in Brossard this morning, he was walking on crutches and it looked like his knee was in terrible shape.
"No official update yet on Patrik Laine or David Reinbacher, but seeing Laine on crutches and his knee heavily reinforced and protected is not a good sign..."
Priyanta Emrith About a year ago to the day, Kirby Dach also suffered a serious injury to the knee. The Montreal Canadiens made a formal announcement regarding his injury, the Tuesday after (which also happened on a Saturday). We anticipate receiving a definitive response either tomorrow or later today, but it's encouraging that everyone is proceeding cautiously with this case.
We are sending our best wishes to David Reinbacher and Patrik Laine on their road to recovery.
