A major trade proposal featuring Arber Xhekaj has just been announced

Major sources, including Pierre LeBrun, confirm Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton's interest in Martin Necas, but a trade offer involving Arber Xhekaj is creating a buzz.
Although many fans strongly oppose trading Xhekaj here's an excerpt from Jean Charles Lajoies piece for TVA Sports;
«In my opinion, there is no doubt that it will be Necas for Xhekaj just as it was Romanov for Dach two years ago. Xhekaj and a draft pick, ideally the first one of the Habs in the second round, but I wouldn't be at all shocked if it was the famous first pick from the Jets obtained in the Sean Monahan trade.»

Martin Necas, 25 years old was a first round pick in 2017. He scored 53 points in 77 games this season (9 points in 11 playoff games). Tallied 71 points season.
