Veteran NHL forward officially announces his retirement from hockey

Veteran forward Brad Malone, has announced his retirement from the National Hockey League after nine seasons.
At 35 years old, Bradley Malone, a player known for his grit and determination, officially declared his retirement after a successful 9-year stint in the NHL.
He made the announcement public via social media, expressing gratitude to the Oilers and his family for their support throughout his career. Over the last seven seasons, Malone was a key contributor to the Edmonton Oilers and their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, where he also served as captain.

A family of hockey legacy
Brad Malone is a part of a prominent hockey family. His father, Jim Malone, was a first-round pick of the New York Rangers in 1980, while his uncle, Greg Malone, had a lengthy NHL career and won two Stanley Cups as a scout with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Additionally, his cousin, Ryan Malone, was an assistant captain with the Pittsburgh Penguins and enjoyed an 11-season NHL career of his own.
Brad Malone's NHL journey saw him play nine seasons across the Avalanche, Hurricanes, and Oilers, registering 14 goals and 32 points in 218 NHL games. His determination and physical play made him a valuable player to every organization he represented.
Following his retirement, Malone has already found a new role in hockey. The Oshawa Generals have hired him as a player development coach, a position that will allow him to pass on his vast knowledge and experience to younger players looking to make their mark in the sport.
