Frank Seravalli dropped a bomb recently, predicting the Edmonton Oilers' "big three" will have $40 million invested into them by the team. He predicts that Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard will all get max-term deals, worth the following:

The figure is astonishing, especially given the current salary cap of only $83 million. Allocating nearly half of the Edmonton Oilers' cap space to just three players raises eyebrows. Seravalli also explained he believes the salary cap will be up to about $100 Million within two seasons, giving the Oilers the flexibility to do this for all three players.
