It appears highly likely that the Edmonton Oilers will look to trade Evander Kane this summer.

Speculation has surfaced regarding the status of the power forward with the Oilers in the days leading up to free agency. Oilers reporter Ryan Rishaug has indicated that the team has not yet approached him about waiving his 16-team no-trade clause. This implies that any potential negotiations might involve a team not included on that list.
Some speculation out there about the Oilers and Evander Kane. As of right now, can confirm they have not asked him to waive his no trade at any point.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has mentioned hearing rumors suggesting the Oilers might explore trading Kane this offseason.

Today, there was an update on Kane's health status. Previously known to have a sports hernia, it's now revealed he also faced a significant hip injury, which clarifies his absence from the season's final games.
He was going through an issue with his hip. We are going through the process to see what will occur and he is getting the best care and advice from our doctors. We will discuss options with him and his agent (Dan Milstein), and get second opinions. That is where we are at and nothing is planned ( surgery or just rest/rehab) at this point,» Jeff Jackson on Kane's health.
