The Dallas Stars crossed the line by playing a disrespectful song after their victory, in game two against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.

Oilers' Tribute to Joey Moss and Ben Stelter

For the past few years, the Oilers have used the song "La Bamba" after every home game win as a heartfelt tribute to Joey Moss, who passed away in 2020, and Ben Stelter, a young fan who succumbed to cancer in 2022.
The song holds deep emotional significance for the team and its supporters, symbolizing cherished memories and a strong sense of community.
"Lore check for those in need, the @EdmontonOilers play «La Bamba» as tribute to Joey Moss who passed in 2020, it was his favorite song. Ben Stelter who was close to the team popularized «Play La Bamba Baby» passed in 2022. It's about as sacred as the anthem for the team."
The song clearly holds significance for the Oilers' supporters, and the Stars showed a lack of respect towards that sentiment by playing "La Bamba" at the American Airlines Center following their victory in game two.
As the action moves to Edmonton for game three, everyone will be watching to see how Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and the other Oilers react. The recent event has definitely sparked intensity and might even inspire the team to show more determination and grit on the ice.
