After 18 remarkable seasons with the San Jose Sharks and, most recently, the Dallas Stars, the veteran has officially decided to retire from professional hockey.
During his career, Pavelski played in 1,332 games, scoring an impressive 476 goals and totaling 1,068 points. However, he has decided to retire following several disappointing playoff runs that fell short of the Stanley Cup.
The future for the 40-year-old remains uncertain, but given his impact on hockey, it wouldn't be surprising if he stays involved with the NHL in some capacity. For now, congratulations on an outstanding career to Joe Pavelski.
