The recent end of the Hurricanes season has raised speculations, about Martin Necas being put up for trade.

Insider Elliotte Friedman was the first to mention this possibility regarding the Czech sparking discussions about what lies for him.
The Hurricanes are now facing the challenge of dealing with players who are pending free agents following their defeat by the New York Rangers. Among these players Martin Necas is drawing interest. According to Friedmans report it seems unlikely that Necas will extend his contract with Carolina adding an element to his status as a pending restricted agent.
There's talk that Necas may receive offer sheets from teams looking for a deal and could potentially be traded below his market value. Despite playing in positions outside of his comfort zone throughout his career he has excelled on the ice leading the Hurricanes in points during the 2022 23 season with 71 points. In the season he managed to score 53 points while adapting to different roles within the team lineup.
Necas delivered a performance during the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs. Was among the top scorers, on his team trailing only behind Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov.
His performance stood out especially because he was, on the line alongside Jack Drury and Jordan Martinook while Aho and Svechnikov teamed up with Jake Guentzel.

Valuable in trades. Poised for success

Necas is anticipated to attract attention in trade talks. Is set for a breakthrough season with whichever team lands him. His adaptability and established history make him a prized addition, for any team seeking to bolster their lineup.
