A drunk driver struck the brothers from behind, causing their immediate death. This devastating news sent shockwaves through the hockey community, particularly among Calgary Flames fans, who once cheered for Gaudreau during his nine seasons with the team.
In a display of solidarity and respect, Calgary Flames fans gathered in front of the Saddledome, where Gaudreau once thrilled the crowd with his skill and passion for the game.
