As per NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Washington Capitals have acquired forward Pierre-Luc Dubois from the LA Kings.
Not sure what's out there — still on plane — but hearing Pierre-Luc Dubois is being traded to Washington

Pierre-Luc Dubois had a modest half-point-per-game performance in his first season with the Kings after being acquired from the Jets near last summer's NHL draft. His tenure in Los Angeles hasn't been particularly successful, prompting a fresh start in Washington.
Meanwhile, Darcy Kuemper will join the LA Kings, a team that has been in dire need of a goaltender. This move offers Kuemper an opportunity to maximize his contract over the next three years, where he is earning $5.2 million annually.

The Washington Capitals' general manager has already issued a statement regarding the trade:
This acquisition brings in a talented 25-year-old with immense potential to become a top-tier center in the NHL. With his size, exceptional skating, and high hockey IQ, we are confident he will thrive in our organization with increased responsibility and opportunity.
