Today, another trade has been finalized, impacting the upcoming 2024 NHL Draft, this time involving the Nashville Predators and Detroit Red Wings.

The Detroit Red Wings and Nashville Predators have executed a trade just ahead of the NHL Draft. The Red Wings will send Andrew Gibson to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Jesse Kiiskinen and a 2024 2nd-round pick.
TRADE: #Preds acquire D Andrew Gibson from #LGRW for Jesse Kiiskinen and a 2024 2nd round pick (#53)
UPDATE: The #RedWings today acquired a 2nd round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft (originally Tampa's) and forward Jesse Kiiskinen from the Nashville Predators in exchange for Andrew Gibson.
The Nashville Predators bolster their defense with the addition of Andrew Gibson, a 6'3" right-handed defenseman. Gibson, selected in the second round of last year's draft, posted 44 points in 68 games in the OHL this season.
In return, the Detroit Red Wings receive Jesse Kiiskinen, a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, who had a productive season in the Finnish Liiga with 10 points in 38 games. Additionally, they acquire a second-round pick in this year's draft.
This trade allows the Red Wings to leverage their depth on defense and prospects, securing an extra draft pick. Meanwhile, the Predators continue to fortify their defensive prospect pool with agile, large defensemen.
As time passes, this trade promises to be an intriguing one to reflect upon and assess.
