Frank Seravalli Reports: 15 NHL Players Hit the Trade Block

Just seven weeks into the new NHL season, we've already seen some smaller trades, but with contenders looking to get better and struggling teams looking to redeem assets for their players, trade speculation is certainly heating up.

With teams like the Pittsburgh Penguins and Anaheim Ducks becoming sellers, there's already plenty of connections being made by fans and insiders alike, with Frank Seravalli now compiling a list of his 15 top trade deadline targets this season.

According to the Daily Faceoff Insider, these are the 15 players most likely to be moved this season:

This list certainly makes plenty of sense, as each and every player here carries great value for their team, and with very few of the teams locked in as Stanley Cup contenders, it makes sense that each and every one of them would be available via trade.

The most likely of all is Marcus Pettersson, as the Penguins have made their intentions of trading away all but their top stars known, with Lars Eller already moved to the Washington Capitals.

The most intriguing name on the list however remains Trevor Zegras, who has struggled to start the season, but with such a positive reputation behind his potential, it's easy to see why opposing teams would love to land the 23-year old star.

Whatever the case, trade season is certainly heating up despite being early in the year, and if some teams want to make major additions before the trade deadline gets here, expect all 15 of these names to remain in discussion.
