Since retiring from the NHL, former Winnipeg Jets forward Keith Tkachuk was moved to tears witnessing his son achieve what he never could � lifting his first Stanley Cup.
Keith Tkachuk enjoyed a distinguished NHL career spanning over 18 years, playing for the Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, St. Louis Blues, and Atlanta Thrashers. He retired in 2010 with an impressive 1065 points in 1201 career games.

Despite a solid career, Keith Tkachuk never earned the Stanley Cup. However, he had the chance to watch one of his sons do so tonight. Following a string of losses to the Edmonton Oilers, Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida Panthers finally earned their first of the franchise.

Any father would be proud to witness such a feat and honor. However, for Keith Tkachuk, who had a historic career now behind him, seeing his son Matthew lift the Stanley Cup brought him to tears.
