Austin Capobianco, a former hockey player, has been identified as one of the Yankees fans who meddled with Dodgers Mookie Betts.

After Mookie Betts made a spectacular grab with the World Series on the line Tuesday night, a former college hockey player was ejected from the crowd for his absurd behavior, which has generated a lot of backlash and mockery on social media.
It seems that hockey players are still participating in other sports, even though the NHL has been the center of attention for the hockey community since the season started less than a month ago. Mookie Betts, the star of the Los Angeles Dodgers, went up to make a catch in the crowd during Game 4 of the World Series in New York. However, a fan in the crowd interfered both before and after the catch.
It should come as no surprise that Major League Baseball does not want to support such behavior. The Yankees and MLB have both issued statements, that the fans' actions will not be accepted and have banned the fans in question from the season's final home game, Game 5.
The story has now taken a new turn when former NFL star Rob Gronkowski identified the man in question as Austin Copobianco, who played for the Arizona Hockey Team while Gronk was a student at the university.
Even though it disrupted the game and gave Yankees fans a negative impression, Gronkowski would quickly call him a beauty, saying that these actions perfectly captured Capobianco's personality and passion.
"Him doing that represents him very well. He is all in for his teams...He's a beauty."

Capobianco acknowledged that he was aware of his wrongdoing and that he would be kicked out of the stadium. He went on to say that "they know that" and that he "patrols that wall." In any case, the following is stated in Major League Baseball's rulebook (rule 6.01):
"We always joke about the ball in our area," Capobianco told ESPN. "We're not going to go out of our way to attack. If it's in our area, we're going to 'D' up. Someone defends, someone knocks the ball. We talk about it. We're willing to do this."

This World Series has seen multiple instances of fan interference, reigniting the discussion about the place of fans in professional sports. Ultimately, even though fervent support is what keeps sports going, behaviors that interfere with the actual game jeopardize its fairness and integrity. Fans worldwide have been reminded of the thin line separating supporting a team from influencing the result of a game by Capobianco and Peter's action, which has now resulted in their official bans.
