The Vegas Golden Knights have made a strategic move in their roster development, announcing the signing of defenseman Viliam Kmec.

Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced that defenseman Viliam Kmec has joined the team on a three-year, entry-level contract, entry-level contract. This decision comes after Kmec's notable performance both in junior leagues and recent rookie tournaments.

During the 2023-24 season, Kmec played 58 games out of 68 for the Prince George Cougars in the WHL, where he impressively accumulated 34 points, consisting of 9 goals and 25 assists, which positioned him second in scoring among defensemen on the team. His performance earned him a noteworthy +39 rating, highlighting his defensive prowess and playmaking abilities.
