Six roster hopefuls have been assigned back to their respective squads as the Golden Knights begin to trim down their roster in preparation for the regular season.

The Vegas Golden Knights are making important decisions about the makeup of their team as the hockey season draws near.

Mikael Huchette and Viliam Kmec among six players reassigned

In an announcement made by general manager Kelly McCrimmon of the Vegas Golden Knights, he stated that the following six players have been assigned to their respective teams for the start of the upcoming season:
Jacob Mathieu, Shane Smith, Tuomas Uronen, Gabriel Huchette, Viliam Kmec, and Mazden Leslie.
The signing of defenseman Viliam Kmec to a three-year entry-level contract was announced earlier this week. Kmec's noteworthy results in recent rookie tournaments and junior leagues have led to this decision. However, it now seems that the Golden Knights have assigned Kmec back to his respective team.

Team's practice and preseason games scheduled

Bruce Cassidy says there's only one thing that matters in making everyone happy.
«You have to win. I look at it as very simple. You don't win enough, they find someone else. I don't think they fire you when you're winning and winning on a consistent basis,» said the Ottawa native. «In general, if you don't win enough, they'll try to find someone that does. And there are coaches that have coached the same teams for a long time due to winning lot. I don't think the message gets stale if you keep winning.»

The Golden Knights have scheduled their practice sessions at the City National Arena for Tuesday, September 24, at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. PT, in anticipation of the upcoming preseason.
Vegas is set to host its first home preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings, which is sure to build anticipation. The puck drop for this game is set for Wednesday, September 25 at T-Mobile Arena at 7 p.m. PT.
Fans who would like to catch some of the early action, tickets are available for the team's four home games during the preseason. This period will be a critical time for the team to gel and for the coaches to assess the players in a match-setting, ensuring they are battle-ready for the main season.
The Vegas Golden Knights' actions demonstrate a clear plan to mix youth and experience, giving younger players the game time they need to mature while strengthening the overall core of the team. All eyes will be on these changes and how they are carried out on the ice as the season draws near.
