Vancouver Canucks announce major hockey operations updates

The Vancouver Canucks have made significant changes to their Hockey Operations department, with several new appointments and promotions announced today.

Chris Trivieri, Curtis Bell, and Gerry Ramogida have been named to new roles, while Patrick Leblond and Luca Caputi join as full-time Amateur Scouts.

Chris Trivieri promoted to assistant athletic therapist

Chris Trivieri, who has been with the Canucks since the 2021-22 season, moves up to the position of Assistant Athletic Therapist. Trivieri started with the Abbotsford Canucks as an Assistant Athletic Trainer before being promoted to Head Athletic Therapist in the 2023-24 season. His prior experience includes roles with the Kingston Frontenacs and Niagara IceDogs in the OHL.

Curtis Bell joins as athletic therapist

Curtis Bell, from Los Angeles, CA, joins the Canucks after a 12-season stint with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Bell's extensive experience includes serving as Head Athletic Trainer for the Tampa Bay Lightning, New Jersey Devils, and Florida Panthers. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from USC and a master's in Applied Clinical Nutrition from Northeast College.

Gerry Ramogida appointed performance therapist

Gerry Ramogida, a Vancouver native, brings nearly 30 years of expertise as a chiropractor and performance therapist to the Canucks. His career includes work with top athletes in the NHL, NBA, NFL, EPL, and Olympic Track and Field. Ramogida's notable achievements include contributions to the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl win and the Golden State Warriors' NBA Championship. He holds a Bachelor of Science from UBC and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College.

Patrick Leblond and Luca Caputi hired as amateur scouts

Patrick Leblond joins the Canucks after six seasons with the Cape Breton Eagles, where he served as Director of Scouting and Hockey Operations Administration. Previously, he was a regional scout with the Val-d'Or Foreurs and a scout for QMJHL Central Scouting.
Luca Caputi comes on board as a full-time Amateur Scout after spending parts of the last three seasons as Head Coach of the Kingston Frontenacs.
Caputi also has experience as an Associate Coach with the Frontenacs and an Assistant Coach with the Guelph Storm. His NHL career includes stints with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs.
These changes signify the Canucks' commitment to enhancing their Hockey Operations team, aiming to strengthen their organization from within.
