Noah Gregor's fate with the Toronto Maple Leafs likely made
This summer, the Toronto Maple Leafs have already replaced Sheldon Keefe with Craig Berube and are now expected to let Noah Gregor go.
After joining the Toronto Maple Leafs as a free agent last year, Noah Gregor quickly became a fan favorite in the bottom-six, despite only scoring 12 points in 63 games.
However, with first-round draft pick Easton Cowan likely to take a roster spot, Noah Gregor's role may become redundant. According to The Athletic's Toronto Maple Leafs analyst Joshua Kloke, Gregor will not be given a qualifying offer and will be allowed to enter free agency.
With the emergence of Cowan next season combined with Gregor's declining production and role in the second half of the season (one goal in his last 35 games), it feels unlikely the Leafs extend a qualifying offer. He was known to be a good teammate in Toronto and his speed and attitude alone should help him catch on with another NHL team easily enough next season.
